Kim Kardashian Misses Demi Lovato Luncheon, Sends Flattering Email Instead

Teen pop superstar Demi Lovato has had her ir share of trials and tribulations over the past few years, including a stint in rehab for emotional issues, but now the former Disney starlet is being honored for her strength by covering the February issue ofSeventeen.

The brunette songbird was honored at a luncheon at The Redbury hotel’s Cleo restaurant in Hollywood yesterday, and while BFFKim Kardashianhad to miss the actual event (she’s doin’ Dallas, baby!), her presence was definitely felt whenSeventeeneditor in chief Ann Shoket read a portion of a sweet e-mail the reality TV princess senther younger gal pal.

Thank you for always being a true friend, for always following your heart and for being an inspiration to me and countless other girls around the world, Kim wrote in her e-mail, read by Shoket.

And it’s clearly not just Kim who admires the darling diva’s strength. Demi’s inspiring story earned her a massive cover line onSeventeen’s February issue, reading, Demi Lovatos Fresh Start: How She Found Courage for a Major Comeback.
