Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries said I do in an elaborate, very public ceremony over the summer, and now comes word that the reality starlet and her basketball player hubby are calling it quits just 72 days after tying the knot.
Kim filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday (October 31), coincidentally the scariest day of the year. Sources told the site that Kim is not seeking an annulment and cites irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split.
After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,Kardashian told MTV News in a statement. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things dont work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.
The couple reportedly have a prenuptial agreement and celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser has been tapped to represent Kardashian. According to TMZ, the pairs $10 million wedding cost approximately $138,888 a day as of October 31. A rep for Kim had not responded to MTV News request for comment as of press time.

The beginning of Kris and Kims marriage will be documented on the second season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, which kicks off on November 27. In previews for the show, ns have gotten a peek at the short-lived marriage. How am I going to have my career and live in Minnesota? Kim asks Kris when he suggests they move to his hometown. His response? Baby, by the time you have kids and theyre in school, no one will probably care about you.

Kris and Kim both was doing some Big pimpin here. He saw that NBA lock-out looming on the horizon and jumped on the money train. Big pimpinand Kim made a boatload of money while upping the ratings on her showBig pimpin..I aint mad at emwish I had some of that dough!

Chris is way better off without her. She gave up way too quickly & should of tried harder...that shows her true self. She never liked his dogs & his apartment was not good enough for her. He will find a much kinder, woman in his future & will be much happier without Kim. The writing was on the walls...Kims already had a iled married & a tape & numerous guys shes plowed through. Im sorry Chris...but this is for the best. Chris deserves better than a half committed wife.

I agree with you about Bruce and Khloe- They are both willing to make their marriages work and are decKim Kardashianent. But I also love Scott! He is a good guy and I have always liked him!
No I am not..because I didnt think they would be able to stand eachother..he says very mean things sometimes..and she wants everything perfect and doesnt like his dogs..which I knew it would totally turn into a Kris and bruce type of marriage..and Humphreys did not want to be whipped like that.. I knew one day Kim would say the dogs go or I go and act like her mom.. And I knew it was going to be a lot of wicked fighting once the honeymoon period of her being nice wore off. Unfortunately...all of them are strong woman..and surprisingly the only one willing to compromise in the whole mily seems to be Khloe- She is good to her husband- Kourtney, Kim and Kris...all kind of seem to be very strong and like to wear the pants....especially for Kim and kris..and for the type of guys Kim keeps going for..kind of a-holes or very strong men...that wont work. I was shocked they were marrying because I just couldnt see them getting along.. I knew he wouldnt like the cameras and also did not want to be pushed under her strong personality...I could never live with Kim! Wanting everything perfect 24/7...she needs to relax a lot...She is too uptight..and she seemed to relax a bit with Humphreys..but again..once the honeymoon phase is over..your personality will come out more..and unless she changes.. I cant see her being with anyone but kind of a jack arse! Or someone who doesnt mind being kind of whipped like Bruce- Bruce goes with the flow..what choice does he have.. but again..Kim is not picking go with the flow guys..and everyone can see it but her.. She needs to change a bit..and she need a better picker!Anyhow....I was surprised they thought it could work..and they should have figured this all out before marriage...Marriage is hard to make work with just love- It can if your love is strong enough..but if location etc is more important to you than love..it wont work! Humphreys is a super strong type man..and 2 strong people..usually...that is hard to make that work! One has to be dominant and one submissive or it makes it hard.
$10 Million for a Wedding - which was mostly DONATED by suppliers! What a collosal waste of money! The Kardashians received MILLIONS of dollars of FREE stuff; designer dresses, jewelery, hotel suites, food, booze, etc. People get sent to prison for embezzelng money but the Kardashians get media press! The Marriage was a SCHAM to get money and free stuff! GOES TO SHOW....THERE IS A WRONG WAY TO STEAL MONEY AND A RIGHT WAY TO STEAL! People are barely ends meet and then there is the sickening opulence of the KARDASHIANS. PEOPLE WAKE UP and stop pandering to them.

Unfortunately, all this is about is RATINGS people. They pulled Kris into the show and both were paid a very generous amount of $$$. They agreed to stay married 60 days, and managed to get a bit further (all of course, under the direction of Kris). Keeping up with the Kardashians lost over 500,000 viewers which means money out-a-pocket. It was a smart move. But, too many of us in L.A. knew the truth. Luv ya Khloe
